Future Plans

Mt. Merapi, originally uploaded by Cielo Azul Images.
Nearby our home in Central Java there are a few volcanoes. I find it ironic that everywhere we have lived outside of our hometown in Colorado there are very real, and very active volcanoes. Salatiga is still no exception as the volcano pictured above is only about 15 miles away. Mt. Merapi rises to almost 10,000ft. above sea level, a vast contrast to the humid jungle we are living in right now.  Mr. Merapi...we will meet soon.  In fact, a tea party on your summit sounds like fun!  I'll keep you updated...

Cool to hear you arrived safely.
AWESOME pic of Mt. Merapi. I was zooming in and looking at the clouds at the peak. That's some interesting air currents on the left flank. Down draft, rotor clouds and it appears to be wrapping around on a horizontal plane too.

Have an AWESOME weekend.

Cheers from your Friend in Beautiful Downtown Burbank,

Hi Clyde! The picture is kinda poor actually, I am looking forward to getting some better light on it. The weather and clouds here in the tropics are always changing. If I get the chance to climb it, Hopefully we will have good weather. Good to hear from you.
