From the Logbook...Rain Delay 3

I'm always amazed as some of the skills young children have interior.  After my attempt to paddle a canoe unassisted a few weeks ago I realized how hard it is.  This boy couldn't have been older than 10 or 11 years old and was just paddling away while it rained.

Hi Sean, this is Irvan from Nanga Pinoh

Paddling isn't that hard, all you need to know is the trick to paddling.

you need to sit on the very back of the canoe / sampan, then hold the end of the paddle with your right hand (hold the T bar like you hold screwdriver), while your left hand hold the body of the paddle, then just row the canoe. if you hold it right, you'll paddling on your left side. if the canoe yaw to the left, you'll need to tap it in, yaw to right, just tap it out. it's works just like rudder.

the secret is on how you hold the paddle. if you hold it correctly, it should be easy
